We provided expert witness services to a solicitor in a case involving a prosecution by DAERA against an Armagh farmer.
The case in question involved allegations of fraud against a farmer with claimed “pedigree status” for his herd. Forensic Vet was tasked with analysing a large amount of DNA evidence for the herd.
We could successfully demonstrate that the prosecution case had contained a large number of errors.
The case was thrown out.
DAERA had an opportunity to appeal the decision and chose not to.
